The new single from TMR favourites Double Wish is the fantastic ‘Tattooed Heart’. The Orange County duo have outdone themselves with this track. Opening with a blur of synth chords and a pounding bass drum, the track evolves through a psychedelic soundscape, into a flurry of techno-inspired beats, and out the other side in a floaty, guitar-topped haze. They explain: “The lyrics are both a response to what is happening musically, and the result of mining the conscious and subconscious mind. ‘Tattooed Heart’ captures the sort of strange duality of feeling grounded one moment and completely disoriented the next. It’s a reflection on waning and longing.” The band have also announced their debut self-titled album, which drops on August 22nd, via Hit The North Records. -Dan Peeke
